Bienvenidos

Welcome to the ad hoc web portal for the Children's National PEM fellows. This site can be viewed by invitation only so if you can see this, you are special. Just log on to your Google account for access. Because this was made in a day on a bag of trail mix there are things you can do here and many more things that you can't.

Can!

  • View the conference schedule. This conference schedule will be the most updated topic and location information available. You can also add the conference calendar to your own calendar and have access to it on the go. Just click on the "+" icon in the lower right corner of the calendar.
  • Post, read, and comment. Self-explanatory.
  • Subscribe. You can sign up to get alerts when someone posts. This site can eventually replace the emails that say, "Just so you know..." that get deleted or lost in your inbox.
  • Post pictures. There is a Photo tab at the top that will allow you attach photos either from your computer, a URL, or from a Picasa web album. This way, not everyone on Facebook needs to see us standing in front of Pavan's fireplace.
  • Answer and read weekly quiz questions. Each week, we'll post Nazreen's conference review questions. You'll be able to vote on the answer and see what everyone else put. Answers and explanations can be found under the Quiz tab.
Can't :(
  • Store attachments. We unfortunately can't attach pdfs to this site, as it allows only limited space and we didn't pay any money for such services. We have two options for posting articles. One: pasting links to PubMed abstracts. Two: Posting a link to a pdf you have saved in DropBox. There's a simple "how-to" tutorial on how to do this under the "How To" tab.
  • Share with your friends. Since this is an invitation-only site that for now we'd like to keep within the fellowship, your friends will have to find out our conference schedule by other means. Perhaps try "Facebook"
  • Tons of other stuff
